Matrix Reloaded, a good film or what!? apart from the ending which i thought was crap! In here you can talk about the 2nd film in the Matrix Trilogy (the 3rd Matrix film is due about december) also is anybody looking forward to the release of The AniMatrix which is due out tommorow? i sure am! it looks cool!  |

i completely disagree i am totally obsessd by the matrix and especially the second one. the films are amazing and the second is the best film of all time ever. or at least it will be until matrix revolution comes out november 7th

i certainly cant wait till the 3rd! but u gota agree with me that reloaded was a crap ending!  it could of been loads better!!! but i will expect better of the final in the trillogy!!! and i expect there to be an ultimate ending to make up for the 2nds ending, either way the 3rd will be the best!!! |

Prepare for a very long rant !
The Matrix is all hype, the first movie wasnt actually ne good other than it was a novel idea. The secound is an attempt to cash in on the fact it was a success, it fails to acheive any deeper meaning because the philosophy behind it is plain crap stoner philosophy gone a step too far, any attempts that the film makers have made to convince me otherwise have failed, espiecially when Keanu Reeves started naming random philosophers he'd heard of or been told to name when he was questioned about the film.
Equally crap acting dogs the film, the only reason Reeves gets away with it is because he wears those glasses all the time, with out them u would realise he cant actually act. O and the bullet time gets really old realllllllly fast, the fall sequence at the start for example was shit, why the fuck were those ingrams launching mini nukes ffs, it looked absolutely shit !
The animatrix is also meant to be crap, though ive only seen the last flight of the osiris, i understand id have to see more to give it a fair review, i still think said episode was crap, and was just an exercise in a bit of fanservice and people trying to dazzle you with CGI.
So all in all IMO the matrix is crap, sry but it is, its hollow and its an exercise in a movie beng sold on really unimpresive special effects.

lol good points, bullet time did get old fast! the fall scene at the begining is crap! the matrix 2 however is only half a film, its the first half of matrix 3 and matrix 1 i thought did have a good plot and u had to watch it a few times to find out wot the film was about, its like every time i watched im like o so thats wot that part was about... i watched the 2nd expecting double of wot matrix 1 was and found it was the equivalant of half! but feel compelled to see matrix 3 jus to complete the trillogy! |

Pfffff half a film, fair enough say that about LOTR but dont say it about the matrix. Neh the first film was better than this outting, and im gonna maintain that. We had numerous attemots to impress the audience with bullet time, but that time it worked coz it was new. The film is hardly hard to understand either, i mean what is there to not understand !? Neo is the one he owns agent smith end movie. SORTED, o cue crap flying sequence. The 2nd one on the other hand had a better ending, though i think cliff hangers are crap ways to end films, its just lazy. This one at least has some different interpretations. I would maintain that this ending shows that Zion is actually still in the matrix, a sort of back up as it was to stop that pesky .1 % from actually freeing themselves from the matrix, as they beleived they were free, thus the current ending means that all of mankind are still batteries, even Neo. Another much crapper one would be that Neo is teh ownzors and he pwns even outside the mtrix. Neway its still crap. |

u really do need to be more open minded.
i am neo from b4 and i stand by wot i said the film is amazing and so is the first. they both use the bullet time better than any other film ive ever seen and they have in fact developed it so the third may just impress you. I also have to say its not really a cliff hanger in that the third is set to come out in november and will be better than the first and second put 2geva

umm i thought it was ok, i tell evry1 i think its shit tho for some reason, lol, i didnt get into the first one tho, cos i was too busy chattin and prankin ppl, tho i liked the end, when i finally got it, but i convinced myself i hated it so i havent seen the 2nd one yet. i think ill actually rewatch the first one wen i can b arsed, lol, then ill watch the 2nd one ready 4 the 3rd wen it comes out lol, cos i like nearly all films so i shud luv it ;D

i'm luvin the matrix i agree that the endin of episode 2 cud av been a bit less crap but i suppose i cudnt av dun better Twos a gud film fight scenes dragged abit now and again but thats matrix isnt it loved the whole pile on fight scene and the big stick the animatrix is the weirdest thing i've ever seen not 2 sure bout that cant wait for number 3 tho t they cant leave me like this Tho i must say looking forward to lotr 3 more  |

i thought that the first matrix was awesome. the plotline was really great and the special effects were just right. it had some really good art direction too with the whole greens and dingy colours.
but then uve got matrix 2
personally i thought that whole thing with the architect was godamn awesome and the idea about rogue program algorithms is a really good take and fits in nicely with the system. that whole backdoors thing is good too, just like programs in real life. i thought that these plot like elements were great and the powers that he gained at the end were also a very nice twist and equally quite plausible.
but you get most of these cool ideas crammed into a tiny section of the movie and instead it focusses more on the action. some of the scenes were ok. but the scene with loads of agent smiths was awful. u could see the way his body bended was totally wrong and it looked so fake. the first movie was good because the effects looked solid and real while not going over the top too much. here it just got silly. i found myself yawny. the car chase got real repetitive. and the superman stuff got fairly dull and cliched. about the only action scenes i liked was the fight with the oracles body guard and the first fight with the two ghosts. but overall the fight scenes had no anger, it was just like joining the dots and i found them fairly dull. the music direction was pretty lame compared to the first one also. it also mbecame far more apparent about their influences when the wachowski brothers literally rip scenes out from animes that theyve watched. it just felt like the second movie was such a wasted opportunity
